Established in 2019, Dower Transport is a new company as far as incorporation goes, but our team’s experience collectively in the container industry spans over 55 years! We already work directly with most of the top 10 shipping lines in the world, along with some high-profile clients, and aim to provide good quality consistent work. Our approach with both our customers and hauliers is always honest and up front, and our aim is to provide a ‘first class’ service whilst keeping to our company ethos of “the personal touch/everyone matters”. We endeavour to give a friendly and reliable service both to the people who we’ve dealt with for years and any new business relationships. Positive feedback and recommendations are our goal in ‘all’ our business dealings - whether it’s dealing with a shipping line, agent, freight forwarder or haulier. Due to our years of experience, we also have very good working relationships with other hauliers across the UK, based in/around most UK Ports, so if you’re a customer stuck with a delivery or another haulier/subcontractor stuck in a port, chances are with our vast network, we should be able to come to your aid! Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, we are a local company who thinks BIG. We specialise in the container industry and offer the same service to our customers as we do to our drivers, creating a family friendly environment.

We are always on the lookout for new hauliers and owner drivers to join our ranks. So, whether you’re on your own or have a small to large fleet of vehicles, looking for work full-time or work even on an ad-hoc basis, you can decide. We’re quite happy if you predominately work for someone else already and are just looking for work to fill the gaps and earn additional money or want to make your overall earnings more lucrative. Either way, just let us know up front what you are looking for and we’ll try and accommodate. We offer competitive rates and payment terms. Our aim is run to your vehicles as though they’re our own, trying to get the best out of them, fuel efficiency, time, etc, where possible…. Even though our office is in Greater Manchester, no matter where you’re based, we could potentially run you too, as we can cover and deal with all UK Ports (if so, please make sure you and/or your drivers have all the relevant cards for the ports, I.e. Rhides for Felixstowe, etc). We can offer work from potentially all major ports and inland depots, though please check for availability.
